The team were called to assist the ambulance service to rescue a male casualty who fell backwards while taking photographs and fell several feet backwards into a shallow waterfall. He swallowed some water, injured his head & was immersed in water initially, before self rescuing onto the bank. He was seen by a passing walker who phoned for ambulance and mountain rescue. The casualty was treated for his injury and immersion hypothermia by ambulance paramedics and placed in a vacuum mattress. He was given pain relief by paramedics. He was then evacuated by mountain rescue and HART personnel to a WAST ambulance and then taken to Prince Charles Hospital, Merthyr Tydfil
