In attendance

The team were alerted at 09:30 am to a Lady fell forward onto rocky ground smashing face into rocks, hurting her left knee and developing a skin flap on right wrist. Lost consciousness but improved whilst attended by student paramedic who happened to be walking nearby. GCS reported as 6 initially, improving but varying. Deep laceration on bridge of nose and forehead with significant bleeding. Casualty immobile and became very cold. Brecon MRT and Central Beacons mobilised to closest RV. the Brecon team Gator requested. First party included team doctor in gator. Assessed condition and requested air support. Remaining team members deployed to hill. Coastguard helicopter tasked to scene. Casualty loaded and ready to go before heli arrived so carry off commenced. When aircraft arrived casualty loaded onto aircraft and flown to the RV where road ambulance was waiting. Handover to Welsh Ambulance Service and incident then concluded. One member of public hurt (laceration to knee) when he fell over getting out of way of stretcher party. Given first aid by team and walked off.
BACK
