The team were alerted to a male who had truned his ankle near the summit of Pen y fan. He heard a crack and was unable weight bear so called for assistance. The casualty was given pain relief and had his leg splinted before being packaged in a stretcher and carried back down to Pont ar daf for onward transport to hospital.
