The ambulance service requested the teams assistance with a female hores rider who had fallen off her horse. The Casualty was riding her horse on Pen Tir when she fell from her horse & lost consciousness for 2 minutes. Her husband and friend were with her at the time of her fall. The casualty reports pain in her left hip and lower back. Also reports banging her head and suffering a head ache. She was wearing a riding helmet. The casualty was assessed & treated by WAST paramedics, team members and Rescue 187 paramedics, packaged in vacuum mattress and stretchered to Rescue Helicopter 187 for flight Hospital.
